PREPARATION
Optimal Hair Length
Hair should be about ¼ inch long — roughly the length of a grain of rice. If you’ve been shaving, allow approximately 2–3 weeks of growth before your appointment for the best waxing results.
The First 24 Hours
Freshly waxed skin can be more sensitive. For the first 24 hours, avoid hot tubs, saunas, intense exercise, excessive heat, and activities that may cause friction or irritation in the waxed area.
Exfoliate Before Your Wax
Gently exfoliate the area 24–48 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and help release trapped hairs. Avoid aggressive scrubs or exfoliation immediately before your wax.
Keep It Cool & Comfortable
Choose soft, loose-fitting clothing after your appointment whenever possible. Tight clothing and friction can irritate freshly waxed skin, particularly after Brazilian and bikini waxing.
Arrive Clean & Comfortable
Arrive with clean, dry skin and avoid applying heavy lotions, oils, or creams to the area being waxed. Wear comfortable clothing, especially when coming in for a Brazilian or bikini wax.
Exfoliate & Maintain
After approximately 48–72 hours, begin gentle exfoliation to help keep follicles clear and reduce the chance of ingrown hairs. Continue exfoliating regularly between appointments and keep the skin moisturized.
